There are some weddings that stay with you long after the last dance and Emily and Anthony's celebration at Regatta Place in Newport was one of them. We first met these two earlier this summer for their engagement session at Beavertail. This is also when we were introduced to their adorable corgi, Penny. We absolutely fell in love with her but unfortunately she didn't receive a wedding invitation! According to Emily and Anthony, Penny has a habit of eating absolutely everything in sight so they decided it was probably best to keep her away from a day filled with flowers, food, and hundreds of opportunities to get herself into trouble. She was missed lol

From the very beginning, this wedding was filled with meaningful moments. Emily shared one of the sweetest stories with us about her grandmother, who once lived in Newport with a view of Regatta Place from her window. As a little girl, Emily would look through her grandmother's binoculars, hoping to catch a glimpse of the brides celebrating their wedding day. Years later, she became one of those brides herself! Those very same binoculars were displayed at the wedding. As if the day couldn't feel any more like Newport, the guys made an unforgettable entrance by arriving to the ceremony aboard Emily's family's boat. Another personal touch for the day!

And then there was Anthony. The moment he saw Emily walking down the aisle, the emotions took over. Even after the ceremony, he couldn't hold back the tears, and honestly, neither could a lot of us. The way these two look at each other, laugh together, and love one another is something truly special. It was such an honor to witness the beginning of this next chapter. Emily and Anthony, thank you for trusting us to capture such an incredible day. Congratulations to you both!

Nicole and Brian’s wedding at the Newport Beach House was one we had been looking forward to for a long time. We first met them during their engagement session in Newport last year, and from that day we knew they were going to be such a fun couple to spend time with. These two have actually known each other since middle school, and it was so sweet to see a relationship with so much history lead them to this moment. The forecast predicting rain all week but the skies completely cooperated and gave them the perfect day to celebrate.

The whole day felt like a true reflection of Nicole and Brian. It was warm, thoughtful, and full of happiness. The Newport Beach House recently had some beautiful updates, and the new decor paired perfectly with their color palette of whites, soft blues, and champagne tones. They had so many fun details throughout the day, including gorgeous signage by Kristen Sardini (wow that seating chart!) and an old-school sticker machine that gave guests little watercolor paintings of Newport locations. It was such a cool and personal touch that fit the Newport vibe perfectly.

One of our favorite parts of the day was just getting to spend time with Nicole and Brian. They are genuinely two of the sweetest people and we clicked with them right away. There were definitely moments where we realized we had been chatting with them for so long that we were probably keeping them from their guests… but they never once made us feel that way 🫶🏻 Their family and friends were just as wonderful and the whole celebration felt like one big group of people who were truly excited to be together. We left the day feeling like we had photographed a wedding, but also like we had spent the day with new friends.

Kate and Jake’s wedding at Glen Manor House was such a meaningful celebration of their love and the start of their next chapter together. After spending time doing long distance, this day marked the moment they finally get to build their life side by side with Kate making the move to California to join Jake. It was clear how much this moment meant to them and to the people who came together to celebrate them. Their ceremony especially meant a lot for them and we loved seeing how intentional they were about creating a day that reflected what matters most to them.

Before the ceremony, Kate and Jake shared a sweet first look outside the church, giving them a quiet moment together while also allowing time for photos in such a meaningful place for them. It was such a special way to slow things down and soak in the meaning of the moment. Afterward the celebration continued at Glen Manor House which was absolutely breathtaking! Botanica created the most incredible floral designs with huge arrangements, vibrant colors, oversized peonies, and gorgeous shades of pink and purple that made the entire space feel romantic and full of life. Mother Nature must have seen all the beautiful colors and followed suit because we even got a rainbow!

With the help of Shannon from SES Events, every detail came together perfectly. From the emotional moments to the stunning design, the day felt like a reflection of Kate and Jake who have been patiently waiting for this moment and were so excited to finally celebrate surrounded by the people who love them most. It was such an honor to document a day that held so much meaning and to be there as they started this next adventure together.

Brianna and Asteway’s wedding at Glen Manor House in Portsmouth was one of those days where everything just fell into place. The forecast had been calling for rain all week. There was definitely some weather anxiety leading up to the day, but somehow the skies completely cooperated and we didn’t see a single drop. Instead we got a gorgeous day to celebrate these two and the amazing group of people surrounding them.

Brianna and Asteway kept everything relaxed and intentional which is honestly the dream as photographers. They trusted us, went with the flow, and let us capture the day as it unfolded. Their wedding party was made up entirely of family and it was so clear how much love and history was shared between everyone there. Every person we met was kind, welcoming, and just genuinely happy to be celebrating them. Also, Brianna is a fellow Bravo fan, so obviously we had to bond over our shared love of all things Housewives and the like. There may have been a few Bravo references sprinkled into the day because honestly… it’s a lifestyle at this point. Haha! We love a Bravo girlie!

And speaking of a good kind of drama... Asteway’s tux was absolutely on point. Brianna told me she cried when she first saw him in it. These two are so sweet together, and one of our favorite things to watch all day was how much Asteway made Brianna laugh. She was constantly smiling because of him, and their joy was contagious. We absolutely loved spending the day with them and left Glen Manor feeling like we had spent the day with friends.

Catie and Ben’s wedding at Mount Hope Farm on Saturday was romantic, colorful, emotional, and just plain fun from start to finish. These two met at Cornell (clearly very smart people) and in the past ten years they’ve traveled the world together collecting stories, memories, and apparently incredible wedding inspiration along the way. Each table was named after a different country they’ve visited which made the whole reception feel so personal and reflective of the life they’ve already built together. The florals were full of warm pinks, yellows, whites, and sunset tones, with bridesmaids in shades of pink and yellow that made everything feel bright, joyful, and very summer romance coded.

Catie is also a serious planner and every detail came together beautifully. As a Swiftie, she definitely gave the day a little Lover/Fearless energy especially when she and Ben shared their first dance to Fearless. And speaking of emotions… there were a lot of happy tears. From the private vows they exchanged after their first look to the heartfelt toasts later in the evening, Catie kept tearing up in the sweetest way. Honestly, these two are so obviously in love that it was impossible not to feel emotional right along with them.

AND just when guests thought the night couldn’t get any more fun, Catie disappeared during the reception and came back with about eight inches of hair chopped off like the icon she is! The crowd lost it. It perfectly matched the energy of the entire day... thoughtful and emotional while also being spontaneous and full of joy. This was a first for us! We've never had a bride get a haircut at her wedding! Watching Catie and Ben celebrate with all the people they love most was such a reminder that the best weddings are the ones where everyone is fully, unapologetically themselves.

Julia and Sam’s wedding at OceanCliff this past Sunday was equal parts beautiful, emotional, and slightly sponsored by Mother Nature’s chaos. The weather truly could not make up its mind. The day went from windy, to rainy, to calm, and back again seemingly every few minutes, but Julia and Sam handled it all with so much grace. Even though the wind had everyone a little stressed at first, they still took the time to step away together and read their private vows. It may have felt more like a windstorm than a quiet moment at times, but it was still incredibly sweet and emotional watching the two of them focus only on each other through all the chaos around them.

These two actually went to the same college but didn’t meet until after graduation during a night out in Boston, proving timing really is everything. Julia, an interior designer, had every detail looking absolutely stunning. Between the gorgeous design elements, the florals, and the overall vibe of the day, everything felt elegant while still being warm and welcoming. Of course, having our friends at Ladybird Events planning the day meant everything ran beautifully no matter what the skies were doing.

And with a wedding party made up of 11 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen, there was never a dull moment! The energy all day was so fun. There was lots of laughter, cheering, and many happy tears (the bridesmaids were responsible for most of them!). Julia and Sam are clearly surrounded by people who adore them, and after spending the day with them, it was easy to understand why. By the end of the night, we were smiling the whole drive home already so excited to share these pics with everyone!

Emily and David’s wedding at OceanCliff on Saturday was peak Newport in the best possible way with hydrangeas, oysters, ocean views, and the prettiest coastal details everywhere you looked. The florals were absolutely stunning and perfectly captured that classic seaside elegance. But beyond all the beauty, this day carried so much meaning for the people there. Emily and David’s parents have been close friends for years, and apparently have spent a very long time hoping these two would end up together. Everyone referred to their relationship as “the prophecy,” which honestly felt pretty accurate after hearing all the stories. This was a wedding people had truly been waiting for!

The emotions were flowing all day long. David cried during their first look, which they chose to do surrounded by family, and it was such a beautiful moment to witness. Emily also shared the sweetest first look with her dad that definitely had everyone reaching for tissues. In fact both of her sisters would start tearing up when doing something as simple as posing for a picture. And in one of our favorite twists of the day!... They skipped flower girls and had flower grandmas instead and they completely stole the show.

This was one of those weddings that reminds us exactly why we love what we do. Every single person there was warm, joyful, and genuinely appreciative. By the end of the night it felt like we had made about 100 new friends. Between the love surrounding Emily and David, the nonstop laughter, and guests basically becoming our besties by the dance floor, this wedding was one we’ll be thinking about for a very long time. Congrats to you, Emily and David!

Melissa and Chris (yes, we had two Melissa's on site so there were definitely moments where lots of people turned our heads at once haha) were married this past Friday at Belle Mer, and the entire day felt soft, romantic, and effortlessly elegant. From the oversized bows to the white florals and greenery by Michelle Jean Florals, every detail had such a feminine and timeless feel. Being ladies who love girly things, we absolutely loved it! Their ceremony at Salve Regina University was beautiful, and arriving at Belle Mer in a Rolls made the whole day feel even more classic and glamorous.

From the speeches and time spent with these two throughout the day it became very clear how perfectly Melissa and Chris balance each other out. Melissa is apparently the life of the party (we saw it with our own eyes!), the decision maker of the family, and someone who has no problem taking charge... something her sisters seemed more than happy to confirm during the toasts. Chris, on the other hand, is a little more reserved but so warm and personable once you start talking with him. Together they have that classic opposites-attract energy that just works so naturally.

The entire day was filled with laughter and so much love from the people around them. Between the emotional moments at the ceremony, the gorgeous design details, and the packed dance floor later in the evening, this wedding was such a joy to document. We had so much fun with Melissa and Chris! We spent the day joking around with them, laughing between moments, and just feeding off their energy. They’re the kind of couple who make everyone around them feel happier just by being together, and we left Belle Mer smiling from ear to ear.
