See everyone tomorrow, 8/31/26 at 8:40 am, for supervision and breakfast and a 9 am school start time!!! PK enters at their class door, K-2 enters at door 8, and 3-5 enters at the gym. Please label everything your child is bringing, especially their backpack with their name and classroom. Remember to only park on the street. There is no parking available in our lot in the am or pm. TY! Welcome to the 26-27 school year!!!!

It’s been a busy few days at Winters. Teachers have been getting their rooms ready and participating in professional development. In addition, we welcomed our Wildcat families back for the 26-27 school year at Back to School Night with wonderful resources from Pawtucket Police Department, Pawtucket Fire Department, Communities for People Rhode Island Program, The Empowerment Factory, Pawtucket Backpackers, and the RI School Recycling Project! Another big thank you goes out to for our delicious teas to start the day off right!!!

We can’t wait to see our Winters’ students and families on Wednesday from 4-5:30 for Back to School Night! Resource tables will be set up in the recess yard and classroom teachers will be in the gym. PK, K, and all of our special education classes will meet their teachers in their classrooms. 📢 Elementary School Schedule Update | 2026–2027

Beginning this school year, the instructional day at all Pawtucket elementary schools will increase by 10 instructional minutes, which will be added to the end of the school day.

Five minutes are necessary to meet Rhode Island’s instructional-time requirements, while the additional five minutes will provide additional time to support student learning and greater flexibility within the school calendar.

📚 Please review the updated 2026–2027 school hours below. Elementary families should also check their email for a letter from Superintendent Buck and a Frequently Asked Questions document with additional information.
