Blackstone Academy was founded in 2002 by a group of educators who had worked in Pawtucket and Central Falls, Rhode Island, for many years. We serve 165 high school students from these 2 cities in a rich and rigorous educational environment.

It was a battle of Blackstone Coaches in this year’s RI Little League tournament - congrats to Kevin Greene whose Lincoln team narrowly ousted Greg Grossman’s Barrington team to win the State Championship ! And one departing faculty member who has taught at BACS for 23 (!) years definitely deserves his own post. It’s time to say our last “Yeah, Buddy!” to John Horton, who is leaving Blackstone to be a middle school principal. John - we cannot adequately express our love and gratitude to you for all the laughs, BACS pets 🦜🐍🐢🐠 and for your wisdom and leadership. You helped make our school what it is today. 🩵
