Pawling Sunshine School Since 1974, we have provided a quality pre-school education for young children.

We do this by addressing both the social and the intellectual development of the child in order to provide them with a solid foundation for their academic career.

This has been a very difficult thing to share. After 50 years, yes 50, the Sunshine School will not be opening for another first day of school. This was an extremely difficult decision but I do believe it is the right one. I want to first thank the directors before me, starting with Marianne Berkes who hired my mom right out of college. Than MaryLou Heslin who was my Sunshine teacher and Carole Gajdosik who took me under her wing and gave me a little nudge to take over. Every teacher that stood by and supported a 29 year old mom figuring out how to run a business. To the “core four” who will forever be my family, we did our best with a pandemic and other outside factors, and can I say, we killed it! The last 14 years have been such a blessing and I will forever have love a gratitude for you ALL 🩵
Thank you to all of our parents that allowed us to be a part of your children’s lives at such a beautiful age and allowing us to love them. “My kids” will always have a special place in my heart. We’ve had generations of Sunshine kids come through those doors and always remember, once a Sunshine kid, always a Sunshine kid…. 🩵🌞
