Our LET 1 and LET 2 cadets got to playtest something brand new this week, a leadership game we built from scratch called Task Force: Ready Line, and it’s built around the 7 Army Values, our Leadership Principles, and JJDIDTIEBUCKLE. Nobody gets to pick who’s in charge either, the Commander gets rolled at random just like real life doesn’t ask for volunteers, and everybody else is running a section like Recon, Logistics, Medical, Security, or Diplomats while the whole unit tries to stay mission capable before they run out of resources.
The part that really got them thinking were the Ethical Dilemma cards, because there’s no dice roll and no clean answer, the cost is the same no matter what the unit decides, so they actually have to sit there and argue it out and live with the choice. This was our first time running it and it will not be the last. We’re already planning a full explainer video walking through exactly how it works, so stay tuned for that one. Full breakdown coming soon 👀 If you run a JROTC program, ROTC unit, or any leadership class and want to try this with your own cadets, save this post so you don’t lose it.
