The Windtalkers have again achieved the status of State 3A Speech and Debate Champions.
In the field of all classifications, they were honored as third in the state; 17 schools competed.
Individual Awards were garnered by the following team members:
Presleigh Boan: Individual STATE CHAMPION Prose Interpretation.
Olivia DeOliveira: Individual STATE CHAMPION Novice Impromptu Speaking; 5th place Prose Interpretation; Top Novice Prose Interpretation.
Jacob Wilkins: 5th place Extemporaneous Speaking; 5th place Varsity Impromptu Speaking.
Emerald Roberts: 2nd place Expository Speaking; 3rd place Novice Impromptu Speaking.
SaxiJazz Butler: 3rd place Children's Storytelling; Top Novice Children's Storytelling.
Thank you to Bill Hopkins, Rachel Hopkins, Jason Boan, Caroline Danysh, Charles Danysh, Lanna Coleman, and Sofia Nicastro for judging.
We couldn't do all of these trips to Greenville and beyond without our busdriver, Allen Anderson; he is extraordinary.
As always, we appreciate Riverside and Bob Jones for keeping us on our toes!

The Windtalkers had a fantastic weekend competing at Eastside High School in Greenville. Out of 21 schools, they received the 2nd place Team Award. The following received individual awards:
Dominic Yanez: 1st place, Humorous Interpretation; 5th place, Extemporaneous Speaking.
Jack Hopkins: 1st place, Extemporaneous Speaking; 3rd place, Varsity Impromptu Speaking.
Presleigh Boan: 1st place, Varsity Impromptu Speaking; 4th place, Prose Interpretation.
AC Allen: 1st place, Declamation; 3rd place, Program Oral Interpretation.
Olivia DeOliveira: 1st place, Novice Impromptu Speaking; 5th place, Prose Interpretation.
Gia Nicastro: 2nd place, Program Oral Interpretation; 3rd place, Interpretation of Children's Literature.
Jacob Wilkins: 3rd place, Extemporaneous Speaking; 5th place, Varsity Impromptu.
Lorelei Brooks: 3rd place, Prose Interpretation.
Riley Jansky: 4th place, Humorous Interpretation.
Ansley Collis: 2nd place, Lincoln Douglas Debate.
Emerald Roberts: 2nd place, Impromptu Speaking; 5th place, Expository Speaking.
We had so many alumni come judge this weekend! Thank you to Lanna Coleman, Charles Danysh, Delaney Tempalsky and Sofia Nicastro. Thank you to parents Rachel Hopkins, Bill Hopkins, Jason Boan, and Caroline Danysh for judging also.
Congrats to those other Warriors at Riverside High School for the 1st place finish - tough competition keeps us polished up.
As always, Allen Anderson is the world's best bus driver.
