I'm really excited to announce our third Sustainability RD Tour in the Italian Alps on June 8-17, 2020.
Several dietitians have attended past tours and I'm thrilled to be taking another fortunate group this summer. Here are a few details:
Italian Sustainability Tour for Dietitians
Earn 45 CEUs in the class led by Sharon Palmer, MSFS, RDN and Philip Ackerman-Leist, Dean of Professional Studies at Sterling College.
Join us for 10 days as we explore the South Tirol region of the Italian Alps and learn about their heritage food culture while residing in a 13th century castle and organic farm/vineyard.
The tour includes a rich calendar of events, including enjoying and learning how to cooking traditional Tirolean foods that date back as far as Ozi the Iceman, tasting and learning how to make wine and spirits, and practicing hands-on-sustainable vineyard management at the castle.
We will also tour local villages, farmers markets, food artisans, and farms, and hike in the Dolomites.
The tour covers all of your expenses, including travel, lodging, meals, guides, education, and tour visits, excluding only roundtrip air travel to and from Munich and two meals on your own.
