Paw Paw had a great time at the SMC choir camp this week! They gave an inspiring performance last night, and I am so proud of their hard work. It’s easy to get excited for the school year with so many dedicated, passionate students who gave up some time this summer to do some fantastic singing!

This week, 19(!) Paw Paw choir students took part in the SMC Summer Choir Camp. They’ve been singing their hearts out and learning from some of the top professionals in the field. I’m so proud of these students for working hard and exploring their passions! There will be a free concert this evening at 7:30 pm at the Lyons Building on SMC’s campus if you’re interested. The amount of music these kids have put together in such a short time is unreal!

High school students from around the area have been have been studying choral and vocal music all week at SMC’s Choir Camp. Join us in celebrating their dedication at this year’s Choir Camp Concert this Friday, July 24 at 7:30, in the theatre in the Dale A. Lyons Building on our Dowagiac Campus. It promises to be a fantastic evening of music. Attendance is free and open to the public.

Happy Memorial Day! The last choir event of the school year takes place this Wednesday, May 27 as our middle school choirs present their spring concert. Come check out these singers and all the amazing progress they've made this year!

Come see our high school choirs for the final time of the 2025-26 school year! We present to you: "I Dreamed A Dream", a concert featuring songs about dreaming of a brighter future. We will also honor our seniors that have contributed so much to our program. We hope to see you there tomorrow night!

Our All-State Honors Choir students head to MSU today to start rehearsals for this Saturday's concert! So proud of them and the effort they've put in to get to this point. The concert is FREE, but tickets still must be reserved, so use the link below if you want to hear the BEST HS singers in the state of Michigan.

Congratulations to Paw Paw choir alumni, Madison Vogel, on her recent appointment at Schoolcraft Community Schools. She will be teaching 6th-12th grade choir. It is so cool to see our former choir members sharing their love of music with the next generation of singers! She is going to do AMAZING things, and those Schoolcraft students are lucky to have her.

Congratulations to recent Choral/General Music Education graduate Madison Vogel, who recently accepted a position teaching 6th-12th grade choir at Schoolcraft Community Schools. Go Eagles!

Several PPHS choir students sang at the State Solo & Ensemble Festival on Friday. All choirs and soloists who participated earned Division 1 ratings, the highest rating one can receive. Performers included Natalie Michell, Serena Dover, Anya Adams, Select Treble Ensemble, and DownBeat. Special shoutouts go to Select Treble Ensemble and DownBeat for earning PERFECT sight reading scores and Natalie Mitchell for earning a PERFECT performance score. Great job to all our singers!
