Another robotics season has come to a close. I just want to say that our students did an absolute awesome job. At the beginning of the season I said to the adult mentors that I would really like to see the students do the problem solving and find the solutions. All I can say is WOW! That’s exactly what happened!!! We have some amazing students and mentors! Through out the season there was so many teachable moments. So many “adult level” conversations with these students. So when someone asks me why I still do it, that is why. First robotics is the only sport where anyone can go pro!
I also want to thank our adult mentors for all of their hard work (and patience). Brent,Sarah,Pat,Shafeeq,Bruce,Becky,Angie,Lisa who took the time out of their evenings (and ate a lot of fast food) to spend teaching programming, building, and business principles.
The decision has already been made to start middle school robotics in the spring instead of the fall in 2020.

If you are at home, you can download the app “orange alliance”. Look for the event “sunset coast splash”. You should be able to find your way around it.
