Our Story

Hi Everyone!! My name is Acacia Harding, owner and on-site provider of A Place To Grow. I just want to let you know a little bit about myself and my philosophy. I have lived in Pavilion for 20+ years. I have been married to my husband, Jerry for 16 years. Together, we have three children--Cole is 14 years old, Grayson is 13 years old (yes, you read that right, the boys are 13 months apart!) and our daughter Quinn is 6 years old. We are grateful to have such a healthy and happy family. In addition to our children we have two cats, Tiger and SkippyJon Jones and a dog, Juno... they are harmless:) About a year and a half ago, we moved to a new home with more inside space and a bigger yard! Our future plan is to incorporate an outdoor classroom space, which has me super excited as we spend a lot of time outdoors!!

As a parent, I know the anxiety that comes with leaving your child in someone's else's care and trusting them to provide the care you know your child deserves. As a Childcare Provider, I feel communication is essential. My philosophy incorporates open communication between provider and parents in a safe and stimulating environment that enriches the children through these important first years.

My primary goal of my childcare program is to provide a safe, loving, family-like environment, where they can play and learn. I feel a child's work is play. All activities are intended as an opportunity for building social skills, interacting between children, practicing self help skills in a family-like environment. Respect toward self and others will be emphasized. I believe in the value of both structured and flexible schedules. Our most important priority is to have FUN!
