Woman in the class starting meeting for dinner. On Thursday we shared dinner for the 3rd time. If was great. Our dinners although us to catch up, share memories and talk about our exploits. We usually get about a dozen and get new faces each time. It is a great night and we all look forward to our next meeting in September.

With the coronavirus still among us, we are being realistic in our plans for our 50th reunion. While we are proceeding with plans for 2021 we realize that at this point it is a hope rather than a definitive event.

That being said, like 2020, it is our intention to hold the reunion in 2021 in conjunction with the Golden Anniversary Event which will be held on Sunday, June 27. As we planned in 2020, we will have a Meet and Greet on Friday night, June 25 at the Sons of Italy and our Class Reunion on Saturday, June 26 at Riverwinds.

We plan to send out an Evite (electronic invitation) to all classmates that have provided their email address. Those without emails will receive their invitation in the mail. The official invites will go out when we get closer and can move forward with confidence. For now we are just notifying individuals by email and Facebook so you can mark your calendar and plan accordingly. Hope the advance notice will allow you to make our 50th in 2021.

Let's hope for the best this time around.

Just an update on the reunion. We are close to making a decision on whether to proceed or not. Everyone should sit tight for now. We will reach out as soon as we know what we are doing.

I just adjusted the settings to get rid of ads (I hope) and access by visitors who are not classmates. I hope I didn't inadvertently prevent any of our class from posting because I can't seem to understand the difference between visitors and members (I am technologically challenged, just ask any of my nephews). If one of you can try and post something to see if it posts, that would be helpful. If you can't post send me a private message or use my email and I will go back and change the settings, yet again.

The reunion committee has made some definite plans that I wanted to share with all of you so you can mark your calendars and make plans of your own to join us.

This, of course, is our 50th so it will be special. As such, our activities span the entire weekend starting Friday, June 26 through Sunday, June 28, 2020. You can choose to attend one, two or all three events. Here are the details.

Friday, June 26 - Meet and Greet
This will be held at the Sons of Italy in Paulsboro. I believe it will be from 6 pm on, but we will reconfirm at a later date. There will be a cash bar and we will be asking classmates, if they want, to bring an appetizer or dessert.

Saturday, June 27 - 50th Reunion Celebration at Riverwinds Restaurant in West Deptford
This will be from 6 pm to 10 pm and will be either a sit down dinner or buffet. For those of you that have left the area, the restaurant sits right on the Delaware River so you can enjoy good food, great company and a fantastic environment. We have not set the cost as yet but for budgeting purposes, I would plan on $50 to $60.

Sunday, June 28 - Golden Anniversary Club Dinner at Auletto's Catering
PHS is the only school in the area that celebrates each class that reaches their 50th reunion. They hold dinner to celebrate the new inductees. This will be our year. The dinner will be from 2-6 pm. There is a cost of approximately $40. This estimate is based on last year's dinner but it should be around that amount.

I hope all the activities entice you to come. Likewise, I hope this provides more information that will enable you to make plans.

Mark your calendars for June 27, 2020. We will be holding our reunion to coincide with the PHS Golden Anniversary Banquet to be held on June 28. This banquet will formally introduce our class to this event.

We are a little over a year away from our 50th. It seems a bit early to start the planning process but it isn't since the planning group wants to make it special. So here is the ask. We are looking for any and all things that you might have on hand from your high school years. We are going to spend the early part of the planning to try and accumulate as much as we can.

Also, we want to use this message to give you a heads up that our class will be the center of attention at the annual reunion held by the high school at Auletto's Ballroom. It is always held in June on a Saturday night. We will plan our reunion around the high school's event. So mark your calendars for June 2020. As soon as we have the actual date we will let you know.
