SAE Spotlight
(Week of Aug 26)

This week’s SAE Spotlight is Kenna Thele, the daughter of Tommy and Chasity Thele of Patton. Kenna is a fourth year, senior member of the Meadow Heights FFA Chapter and has earned her greenhand, chapter, and county degrees. Kenna currently serves as Chapter Secretary for the 2026-2027 school year and has previously served her chapter as Chapter President for the 2025-2026 school year and Chapter Reporter for the 2024-2025 school year. Her supervised agricultural experience includes a small cow/calf operation. Kenna has been recognized for receiving the Star Greenhand award, Junior level Chapter Leadership Award, and Chapter Sweetheart. Other clubs and activities she is a part of include BETA, volleyball, and yearbook. In her free time, Kenna enjoys hanging out with her parents and boyfriend - whether it is trying new restaurants or exploring new places. She also enjoys reading and being outdoors. Future plans currently include attending Southeast Missouri State University for their Construction Management program and looks forward to getting married and starting a family of her own.

SAE Spotlight
(Week of Aug 19)

This week’s SAE spotlight is Harper Miller, the daughter of James and Jeri Miller of Sedgewickville. Harper is a third year, junior member of the Meadow Heights FFA Chapter and has earned her greenhand and chapter degrees. She currently serves her chapter as Chapter 2nd Vice President for the 2026-2027 school year. Harper’s supervised agricultural experience includes making custom banners. She has been recognized for receiving the chapter scholarship award the last two years for highest GPA of her class and has participated on the knowledge, farm management, and floriculture career development events. Other clubs Harper is a part of include Smokebusters, BETA, STUCO, and FCCLA. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and playing volleyball. Future plans include attending Mizzou for a bachelor’s in Animal Science, a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, and coming back to Southeast Missouri to practice veterinary medicine.

SAE Spotlight
(Week of August 12)

This week’s SAE spotlight is Rylann Yamnitz, the daughter of Ryan and Casey Yamnitz of Patton. Rylann is a third year, junior member of the Meadow Heights FFA Chapter and has earned her greenhand and chapter degrees. She currently serves her chapter as Chapter 1st Vice President and has participated on the Cattlemen’s Association Fall Speaking Contest, Division 2 Public Speaking, Poultry, and Knowledge CDE’s and was a state convention delegate freshman year. Rylann’s supervised agricultural experience includes raising cattle on the family farm, raising chickens, goats, and employment at K’s Cafe. Other clubs and activities she is a part of are Meadow Heights Volleyball, FCCLA, BETA, Smokebusters, and Pep Club. In her free time, Rylann enjoys spending time with her family and boyfriend and going to church. Future plans currently include receiving education in the medical or cosmetology fields.

SAE Spotlight
(Week of Aug 5)

This week’s SAE spotlight is Cassidy Davis, the daughter of Richard Davis and Brandy Mayberry, of Patton. Cassidy is a fourth year senior member of the Meadow Heights FFA Chapter and has earned her greenhand, chapter, and county degrees. She is currently serving her chapter as Chapter President for the 2026-2027 school year, and has also served as Chapter Secretary and Chapter Historian. Her supervised agricultural experience includes raising and showing sheep for local, state, and national fairs and employment at Walmart. Cassidy has been recognized as Star Chapter Farmer her sophomore year. She has participated on the state level Ag Issues LDE and district level Meats Evaluation, Farm Management, Job Interview, Knowledge, and Nursery/Landscape career development events along with fall speaking and area rituals contest. She worked at the state level in the convention Media Room as well. Cassidy is also a member of Meadow Heights BETA club. In her free time, Cassidy enjoys hanging out with friends and family and working her show sheep. After graduation plans include attending college for agribusiness and pursuing her dream of running her own farm.
