Every school day matters, and every minute of learning counts! Our district-wide attendance goal is 96% attendance each week at every campus, and reaching this goal takes all of us working together.
Regular attendance helps students stay connected to their teachers and classmates, keep up with instruction, and build the habits they need for long-term success. When students are at school, on time, and ready to learn, they have more opportunities to succeed.
How Can Parents Help?
✔ Make attendance a priority.
Please make every effort to have your student at school every day and on time.
✔ Schedule appointments strategically.
Whenever possible, please schedule routine doctor, dentist, and other appointments during our designated student holidays and breaks rather than during instructional days.
✔ Plan vacations around the school calendar.
We encourage families to use our scheduled student holidays and breaks for family travel and vacations. This helps students avoid missing valuable instructional time.
✔ Submit documentation promptly.
When your student must be absent, please provide the appropriate doctor’s note or parent note to your campus PEIMS/attendance clerk on the day your student returns to school. Timely documentation helps ensure attendance records are accurate and up to date.
