We’re excited to offer a PES Nature Club for students in Grades 2–6! 🌿🐞

Nature Club will give students opportunities to learn and explore through hands-on activities such as nature walks, gardening, observing plants and wildlife, science investigations, outdoor challenges, and service projects.

🗓 Meetings: 1st & 3rd Thursdays
⏰Time: 3:00–4:00 PM
📍Location: STEM Room/Cafeteria
❓Who: Students in Grades 2–6

Our goal is to encourage curiosity, teamwork, environmental responsibility, and a love for the outdoors!

🚗🐾 PES Car Rider Families

Now that we are approaching a full school week under our belts, we’re ready to fine-tune our drop-off and pick-up procedures to keep our car line safe and moving quickly!

Please take a minute to review the reminders on the flyer...especially pulling all the way forward and remaining in your vehicle. These small steps make a BIG difference in keeping traffic flowing and our Bulldogs safe! ❤️🖤

Who knew building vocabulary could get so competitive? 😂

Our PES 5th graders put their word skills to the test with a game of Vocabulary UNO! Nothing like a little friendly competition to make learning stick...and maybe get a Draw Four or two! 😆

🐾 100% proficient. 100% proud. 100% BULLDOGS! 🐾

We are absolutely THRILLED to celebrate a HUGE accomplishment by our Patricksburg Elementary third graders --100% of our Bulldogs passed the 2026 IREAD assessment! 🎉❤️🖤

With Indiana’s average IREAD passing rate at 87.9%, our students didn’t just meet the benchmark.

They knocked it out of the park! 💯

Success like this doesn’t happen by accident. It is the result of strong, consistent instruction, targeted remediation, and a whole lot of teamwork. Our teachers and instructional assistants work tirelessly to meet students where they are and provide extra support when needed. Add in the encouragement and partnership of our parents, and you have one pretty amazing Bulldog team! 🐾

A few quick reminders:

📸 Picture Day is Thursday, August 13! Bring those smiles!

🚗 Car Rider Parents: Please remember to hang your yellow car rider tag from your rearview mirror during afternoon pick-up. If you need another tag, just contact the PES office.

🎒 Beginning Monday, August 10, K–6 students should walk to class on their own. Staff will be available to greet students and help anyone who needs a little assistance along the way.

Thank you for helping us get the year off to such a great start!

🧺"Picnic in the ’Burg" is BACK! 🧺

PES families, we’re trading the cafeteria tables for a little fresh air, family time, and picnic fun! ❤️🐾

Join your favorite Bulldogs for Picnic in the ’Burg on Friday, September 18, 2026!

🍎 Lunch for ALL grades: 11:15–11:45 AM
🛝 Recess for ALL grades: 11:45 AM–12:15 PM
📍 Patricksburg Elementary School

Bring a blanket or lawn chair, pack a lunch, and come enjoy some quality time with your Bulldog! Adults are responsible for bringing their own lunches, and volunteer forms are required for non-S-OCS employees attending the picnic.

A few important reminders:

🌟All RSVPs and Volunteer Forms are due by Friday, September 11.
🌟Please plan to arrive no later than 11:10 AM.
🌟The back parking lot will be closed from 10:45–11:10 AM and again from 12:15–1:10 PM for car rider movement, so please plan accordingly.

☔ Rain or shine...we picnic! If Mother Nature decides to crash the party, we’ll simply move the fun inside.

Come hungry, bring your picnic basket, and get ready to make memories with Families + Food + Fun! 🥪🍎☀️

Our littlest Bulldogs had a wonderful first day of PreK! ❤️🐾

Mrs. Albright shared the heartwarming story "The Kissing Hand" by Audrey Penn, reminding our newest students that even when we're apart, the love of our families is always close by. 💕

After the story, our PreK students created a special Kissing Hand keepsake to take home...a sweet reminder of their very first day of school and the exciting journey that lies ahead.

There were smiles, hugs, a few happy tears, and lots of new friendships beginning. We are so excited to watch these little learners grow this year!
