Education Alliance provides education in various disciplines (Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies, Music and Dance) to schools ,churches, secure-care facilities, camps and private households that need development or reinforcement in specific academic areas. The education is given in the form of workshops, seminars, presentations and tutoring.

Black History is American History...

Juneteenth originated in Texas commemorating the actual end of slavery. When Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation Act of 1862 (declared in1863) officially ending slavery, there were people still enslaved in Texas until 1865. A year later on June 19, 1866, freed slaves began celebrating their emancipation and it has been celebrated in many southern states ever since.

It's an extremely important holiday because it commemorates true freedom for African-Americans, unlike July 4th which commemorates independence during a time in American history when African-Americans were still enslaved.
