🔒 Requirements to Become a Certified Security Officer in NJ

Unarmed SORA:

18+ years old

U.S. citizen or legal resident with SSN

Valid photo ID

No disqualifying criminal history

Complete NJSP registration, fingerprinting & 24-hour SORA course

Armed SORA:

Must first be SORA certified (unarmed)

NJ Permit to Carry a Handgun

Fi****ms training & qualification (not provided by Aegis)

💡 Aegis provides SORA certification only — firearm training must be completed separately.

Schedule: 7 days/week, 5:30 PM–12 AM (incl. holidays) | Start: Immediate

Join our team this summer as a Security Officer at a scenic lake property in Ringwood, NJ! We're looking for reliable, customer-friendly individuals to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff.

What You’ll Do:

Patrol property and verify guest/residence passes

Educate on safety rules and respond to incidents

Ensure policy and legal compliance across three lake areas

Requirements:

Security/customer service experience preferred

Valid driver’s license & personal vehicle

Available Memorial Day, July 4th & Labor Day (full-day shifts)

Must attend a two-part interview and start immediately
