Nasihah (Advice): Dua in one’s absence
Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: “No Dua (supplication) is more readily responded to than the Dua (supplication) made for someone who is absent.” (Tirmidhi)

Question and Answer:
Q. Is it okay to request others to make Dua for oneself?
(Question published as received)
A. One should make sincere Dua to Allah and have conviction in its acceptance.
One may also ask the pious and elders to make Dua for oneself and family as is mentioned in the Hadith:
On one occasion Umar Radhiyallahu Anhu took permission from Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam to perform Umrah. Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: “Oh My brother, include us in your Duas and do not forget us” (Tirmidhi)

Authenticity of a du’a to be recited in the morning and evening
Question
What is the status of this hadith?
Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
‘Whoever says three times when he gets up in the morning: ‘A’udhu billahis sami’il ‘alim minash shaytanir rajim’ and he recites the last three verses of Surah Al-Hashr Allah appoints seventy thousand (70 000) angels who say make du’a for forgiveness on behalf of him until the evening. If he dies on that day, he dies a martyr, and whoever reaches the evening, he holds the same status.”
Answer
This Hadith is recorded in Sunan Tirmidhi, hadith: 2922 with a slightly weak chain, that has sufficient support from other narrations.
Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) has cited these supports for it in Nataijul Afkar, vol.2 pg. 405-406.
This Hadith is therefore suitable for practice.

REMINDER:
Don't Forget Surah Dukhaan (Surah 44) Tonight.
(Thurs night - night of Jum'uah):
The Virtues of reciting Surah Dukhaan
1. Hazrat Abu Hurayrah r.a.a (Radi Allaahu anhu) [may Allaah be pleased with him] reported that Allaah’s Messenger s.a.w (Sal-lal-laahu Alayhi Wa sal-lam) [peace & blessings of Allaah be upon him] as saying,
"If anyone recites Haa-meem Al-Dukhaan any night, 70 Thousand angels will ask forgiveness for him in the evening."
[A Hadith narrated in Tirmidhi]
2. Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (radi Allahu anhu) narrated that RasoolAllaah (Sal-lal-laahu Alayhi Wa sal-lam) said,
"Whoever shall recite Surah Dukhaan on the eve of Friday, he is forgiven in the morning."
3. Hazrat Abu Umaamah (radi Allaahu anhu) has said: 'I have heard the Holy Prophet (Sal-lal-laaho Alayhi Wa sal-lam) saying,
"Whoever prays Surah Dukhaan on the eve of Friday or on Friday Allaah Ta’aala makes for him a home in paradise."'
