The chants. The walk. The moment it all became real. 🎓
But none of it happens alone. Late night calls, home-cooked meals, pep talks, and people who believed in you before you believed in yourself.
Be honest — this diploma has more than one name on it. Who walked this journey with you? Drop their names in the comments, we'd love to celebrate them too. 🎓
We'll start: the professors who left their door open, peers who carried the load with you, and someone who wasn't in the crowd but never left your side.

Dani & Sam Krumbein faced financial hardship, a difficult home life, and personal setbacks that kept college out of reach for years. Dani battled addiction. Sam left high school at 16 to work full-time.
Samantha enrolled at PCCC first, earning a degree in Liberal Arts/Humanities. "Humanities taught me how to think critically and helped me figure out who I really am and what I really want to do in life." Her graduation inspired Dani to enroll alongside her. 👭
At the 2026 Commencement ceremony, both sisters graduated with top honors and prestigious awards in their fields. Sam plans to begin working as a nurse, further complete her nursing education, and return to PCCC as a professor. Danielle is starting a position as a drug counselor while completing her bachelor's degree at Rider University on a full-tuition scholarship. 🎓

🎓✨ Congratulations to our newest Phi Theta Kappa members!
In this year’s PTK Induction Ceremony, we welcomed an incredible group of scholars as lifelong members of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
These students have shown outstanding dedication to academic excellence by maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher. From now on, they will be part of PCCC’s chapter Alpha Eta Chi, and work to embody their four hallmarks: Leadership, Scholarship, Fellowship and Service.
That’s not all. The ceremony also honored 13 PTK members for their achievements in the 2025-2026 school year. Andrea Pizarro and Kenny Martinez received the Presidential Officer Award, and Andy Perales & Tom Moore were recognized with the Distinguished Pillar of Support Award.

On May 14, we honored the largest class of nursing graduates in recent history at PCCC. 🩺
In our traditional nurse pinning ceremony, 41 graduates received the traditional gold pins — a symbol of welcome into the nursing profession. 🎓
The ceremony honored where nursing has been — its rich history and the timeless tradition of the lamp lighting ceremony — where our graduates are now — shaped by the sacrifices and dedication this program demanded — and where they are headed, as they step into one of the most trusted professions in the world.

Meet James Snyder, the Class of 2026 Valedictorian. His high school career didn’t inspire him toward higher education, he says. However, after facing limitations in the job market, he decided to enroll in PCCC.
After taking Physics and Math classes, he found his calling. “I found something I really care about studying, and something I really want to do,” said James. 👨🔬
James’ next stop is Rutgers University. He feels grateful for his time at PCCC and thanks the faculty of the science department, especially Professor Wayne Warrick, for how well prepared he feels for the future. 🚀 See the full story at pccc.edu/commencement

We received a fruitful visit from the City Green organization! And Professor Bell’s class was up to the task 💪
Together they set up garden raised beds (already growing fruits & veggies) and cherry trees. The City Green team instructed our students on gardening best practices and set us up with a ton of supplies for (nudge-nudge) future projects. 🌱
Drop a👍 if you’d like to channel your green thumb with us.
