🌟 Warrior Spotlight: 1st Quarter Students of the Quarter! 🌟

As our 1st quarter ends next Friday, we want to give a BIG congratulations to our 1st Quarter Students of the Quarter!
Each grade level selects just ONE boy and ONE girl from a grade of approximately 400 students, making this an incredible honor!

We are so proud of these Warriors and their hard work, character, and dedication! 👏

This Tuesday evening, Watkins Intermediate will be proud to host and celebrate ALL of our SWL K–12 Students of the Quarter! What a special night to recognize so many outstanding students across our district! 🎉

The Warrior celebration just keeps growing! We are excited to share that Parker, a 5th-grade student at WIS, has also been selected as a Nationwide Children’s Hospital Mile Champion for this year’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon! 🏃‍♂️ Parker is proudly representing brain tumor research as a Mile Champion on October 18.

That means our Warrior community now has THREE incredible Mile Champions to cheer on: Parker, Michaela, and Braylee! What an amazing honor for these students and our school community.

Thank you, Parker, for proudly representing such an important cause and showing us what it means to be a Warrior.

Congratulations to our first weekly Waggle Warriors and Khan Champs! 🎉 One winner from each team was recognized for going above and beyond with our adaptive learning programs!

These Warriors earned some pretty awesome perks—Waggle chains or Khan medals/rings, and FIRST in line at lunch! 😎🥇

🎨🎮⚽ WIS Clubs Are Underway! 🧩📚

We had a great afternoon kicking off our first WIS Clubs! Students had the opportunity to step outside the traditional school day and spend some time exploring interests, trying something new, and connecting with classmates and staff.

From Minecraft, Coding, and Lego Clubs to Futsal, Ultimate Frisbee, Origami, Watercolor, National Geographic, Movie Critic, and Warrior News, there was something for everyone!

A small amount of time to create, play, explore, compete, and connect can make a big difference in a student's school experience. We love giving our Warriors opportunities to discover interests and build relationships beyond the core curriculum!
