Lasting Impressions Child Care Center Our philosophy here at the center is that child care combines the learning children bring from home with the awareness of group learning and living.

Daily experiences give opportunities to secure knowledge, new ideas and skills. As children learn from and with others, they talk; they plan, make choices and decisions and acquire the give and take of getting along harmoniously with their peers. Children develop both as group members and as themselves. Growing comes through children's gaining a sense of self-assurance, independence, responsibilit

y and adjustment to daily childcare. Learning is both social and cognitive. The classroom is a stimulating environment where guided goal-directed experiences are planned to meet the differentiated learning needs and interest of children. The class activities enable children to discover, explore, experiment, create and evaluate as they learn. Learning takes place through a provision of many varied multisensory and motor activities. The learning is guided through flexible, frequently changing, short periods of purposeful activities. The goal is for the maximum growth of each child at his or her own rate of development.
