Licking Heights Local Schools is the fourth fastest-growing district in Ohio. Located approximately 20 miles east of the state capital, the district consists of 5,000+ students. Ready for the future.”

Thanks to company expansions into the area, including Meta, Google, Amazon, and American Electric Power, we have an increasingly diverse student population that speaks more than 42 languages. We pro

vide a robust academic experience aimed at educating all young, inquiring minds. Our programming includes:
College prep courses
Advanced Placement (AP) classes
College Credit Plus (CCP) program
College and Career Pathways
Mandarin Chinese, Spanish and American Sign Language foreign language programs
Facebook/Meta-sponsored STEAM Lab
Self-contained gifted classrooms
Fine arts program
Various clubs, activities, and organizations such as Art Club, DECA, National Honor Society, Quiz Bowl, Student Council, Model UN, Chess Club, and Environmental Club
16 varsity high school sports and 10 competitive sports for middle school students

Many of our schools have been recognized by statewide organizations. Most recently, South Elementary was honored by the Ohio School Boards Association for a virtual career program. They have also been declared a Purple Star school for its commitment to serving and supporting military students and their families. West Elementary was presented a Bronze Award from the Ohio Department of Education for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

🤝 Licking Heights Local Schools loves being a resource for community organizations that make a difference, and Cub Scout Pack 4026 is a perfect example.

Over the past year, these Scouts have placed flags on veterans' graves, helped with the Veterans Day ceremony at Lima Ridge, hosted their annual Pinewood Derby at Broad Peak, and held an Active Games event in Everest's gym.

We're proud to open our doors to groups like this and grateful for everything Pack 4026 does for our community. Keep up the great work, Scouts! 🦅

🔦🔦🔦 We had a great back to school, but we just had to share the behind-the-scenes that made it happen.

This week's storms knocked out the power at Everest Elementary, but our team didn't skip a beat. Battery-powered lamps, generators, and a lot of grit kept them going as they finished getting ready for the first day and open house.

Thank you to our Everest team for showing up and making it happen, even in the dark!
