The students from Patagonia-Sonoita-Elgin made these amazing Rhythm Machines and Hand Chimes as part of unit 4 of The Universe Within, Making Music. The Rhythm Machines were quite advanced with a 360-degree motor, wiring, gears and an Arduino. Check out how they added nice finishing touches to their instruments so that each one is unique and reflects their own worlds: https://youtu.be/-EM_L6NSAcI

We are loving making music together and building musical instruments in The Universe Within's fourth unit called Making Music! These 4-8th graders are not done decorating yet! Because every project begins with personal purpose, each creation is original—reflecting the builder’s identity, values and creativity through unique configuration and design. Take a listen to the hand chimes the students constructed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnBVE8IPgkE

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Hello Everyone - Mat Bevel Company is the midst of our annual fundraiser. We are embarking on a new phase of The Universe Within, developing Kinetic STEAM Kits so that we can streamline the process of organizing and distributing curriculum materials and thereby serve more students. We'll work with a local contract manufacturer, kit designer and toy marketer to get the kits ready. You can help us with this effort by making a gift to our Go Fund Me page during the month of June: https://gofund.me/839de0fb
