In Memory of Roy W. Faulkner

Happy Birthday Dad, Papa Roy, Sir, Mr. Faulkner!!! Today you would have been 87 years old I believe!! It’s crazy to think that you have been tending heavens garden and enjoying heavens rivers for that long!! I love ypu!! This picture was shared on a post by one of his many friends!!! My dad never met a stranger and he loved to fish, hunt, bowl, shoot pool, play tennis or golf, you name it!! I am so blessed, 20+ years later to continue to receive memories, new pictures, recipes, yearbooks, etc from his family and friends!! Today my dad, Roy W. Faulkner, would be 86 years old!!! Even tho he has been tending Heaven’s garden fo 22 years now, I still contine to hear from past students and friends of his who knew and absolutely loved him and his smile!!! He was a teacher, friend, dad, grandpa, uncle, son, and brother extrordinair!!! Nothing he did went without notice!! He was one in a million!!! His life continues to live on and make people smile!!! Amongst the many other talents and hobbies that my dad had, he also loved to cook! There are two things my dad always had plenty of: fish, and venison! 🎣🦌 If you had any kind of relationship with my dad at all, I guarantee that you have either tasted his fried fish, or his delicious deer or elk jerky, or both!!! Lol! He lived for deer season, and spring break and summers where you could only find him at the river, or on the lake, and for many years, fishing for trigger fish in Mexico!!! He LOVED the outdoors!!!! In the last couple of years I have been given two irreplaceable treasures, one of which I just received from one of his sweet friends just this year: His handwritten and signed beer battered fish recipe, and his famous jerky recipe!!! I knew my dad was a legend, but receiving this news paper clipping with his famous jerky recipe, now that was an all time high!!! The compliments about my dad and the way that he continues to inspire and live on thru those who loved him 22 years later just continues to astound me!!! For his birthday this year, I am sharing these two gifts with you!!! You too will be inspired, I guarantee it!!! Happy birthday Dad, Pappa Roy, and Sir!!! You are very very loved!!!! 😘👩‍🌾✍️🎣🦌🛶⚓️❤️

A very dear, thoughtful friend just sent me this picture of the Buck Moon over Orange Beach tonight!!! This ones for you, Daddy!! I Love Ypu!! ❤️🦌🌕😇

This month’s moon will be the Full Buck Moon!! When you look up in the sky and see a a full moon, please think of my dad, Mr. Roy Faulkner!! He went out during a full moon and now my kids and grandkids call every full moon a Pappa Roy Moon!! This months moon has my dad written all of it!!! 🦌🌕❤️

My Dad!!! I found this picture that I have never seen before of my dad in this envelope, while. I was going thru a box in storage!! This is the picture my dad used to attach to the teaching resumes he sent out to schools all over Arizona!!! He was offered a job teaching shorthand, accounting , and typing in Morenci, Arizona!!! He accepted!! That is where my brother and I were born!!! He taught there for 35 years!! 🤩 Happy Father’s Day, Dad!! I love you!! ❤️😊

Thank you, Carleen Sanchez, for keeping the legacy of Mr. Faulkner alive and well!!! It’s been 20 years since his passing, but he is still alive and well in the hearts and lives of so many wonderful people!!! Thank you all for loving him!!! ❤️
