Hi Everyone,

Picture this: a student from halfway around the world sits down to their first American Thanksgiving, tries their first s'more, cheers at their first Friday night football game — and it happens because of YOU. That's the magic you help create.

Here's where you come in. Think beyond the usual suspects — yes, reach out to past host families and neighbors, but also consider teachers, faith community leaders, local civic groups, etc. Or two-minute mention at a PTA meeting or a heartfelt post in a neighborhood Facebook group that can unlock a family you never would have found otherwise. You know your communities better than anyone, and that local knowledge is your unique strength.

This experience offers host families a gift. An extra seat at the table that brings new stories, new perspectives, and more often than not, a connection that lasts a lifetime. And maybe the student's cooking becomes a household favorite too. :-)

There’s something special about this time of year—when we get to turn possibilities into real, life-changing connections. Each of our students arrives with curiosity, courage, and a story waiting to unfold. And it all begins with one thing: a host family saying “yes.”

Right now, we have an incredible group of students ready to be matched, and this is where your outreach truly shines. Whether it’s a quick social media post, a conversation at a community event, or a message to someone who’s been “thinking about it,” you never know which moment will lead to the perfect placement. Open your heart and home to an NWSE Exchange Student!

Everyone!

I’m sending you this appeal today with the hopes that you know, or someone in your community knows, a family whose daily routine might be able to support this student's exchange.

Hari is an amazing 16-year-old boy from the Czech Republic who unfortunately has a list of allergies. His NON-life-threatening allergies are: cow's milk protein, eggs, nuts/seeds, pollen, cats. He also has asthma. Aside from these allergies, he’s an excellent exchange student ambassador for our program, and deserves our extra and added consideration.

Please take a look at his profile (attached), and consider introducing him to potential hosts in your communities. I hope that across our ~100+ AC network, we find a good family for him.
