Read It To Win It Touchdown!!!! 😀🏈

Our October reading contest was a huge hit! Our youngest Panthers read a total of 39,600 minutes and our 3rd-5th graders read and submitted summaries for over 330 books! We are so proud of their efforts! 📘🎉

Pictured here are the two winning classroom teachers; Mrs. Guerrero and Ms. Lucke. Their classes will have a celebration next week. Also pictured are the students in each grade level that read the most. These future Bearcats earned a special Bearcat t-shirt! 🐾

And that's not all! Tomorrow we hold our grand prize drawing, so stay tuned! Way to go Panthers! 🐾💙

Storybook character dress up day was a blast! Panthers…we loved seeing your costumes while you celebrated literacy. We sure do have a fun crew!

Pifer Panthers are Prepared! Yesterday we had our first "Minute To Win It" contest of the school year.🐾🏆 We have these fun games to talk about the components of our Panther P.R.I.D.E. behavior expectations. Teachers nominate students that they see demonstrating these traits. The first one is "Preparedness".

This game was called "Sticky Situation". 🕷 The kids threw cotton balls at the spider web made out of masking tape. The person/class with the most that stuck in one minute earned a little treat for their class. 😀

Next week, students will begin completing their applications to earn their Preparedness tag. Earning these tags means they are demonstrating Panther Pride, but also gives them access to fun events and activities on campus. Gooooo Panthers!

Yesterday we had an amazing turn out for Walk To School Day! There were 207 Panthers that walked to school!! 🐾👟🐾 Pictured here are our first graders with their special blue Pifer Panther Pride tickets...which they turned in for fun prizes and entered in our school wide drawing. Also pictured are some of the amazing Panthers that donated to our "Sock Drive" 🧦, which we are donating to local charities. And, our winners of the drawing for new Spirit Wear from our amazing 💙 PTA!

Treasure Island was a hit! 🌴 Last Friday, our after school Drama Club performed the play they have been working so hard on for the past couple of months. It was great and they had a blast! Huge shout out to our drama club teachers - Mrs. Guerrero and Mrs. Farrell! We are so proud of all of you!!

What an amazing week in Pantherville! We celebrated literacy and reading all week long!
On Friday, we wrapped up the week with our storybook character dress up day. Our AMAZING teachers and staff were definitely in the spirit of celebrating reading!
