Measure M has helped Georgia Brown Dual Immersion grow right alongside its students.

As GBDI expanded to serve students in TK–8, our community’s investment helped transform its Creston Road campus with improvements including new flooring and classroom furnishings, an accessible playground, ADA parking improvements, and a new TK/K complex with six classrooms, a dedicated playground and new restroom facilities.

But the best way to see the impact is through the students who use these spaces every day.

Paso Robles is a special place to grow up—and we want our schools to keep pace with the future our students are preparing for.

Our new 2030 Vision Facilities Master Plan takes a long-term look at what comes next for PRJUSD facilities, including some of the most significant needs at Paso Robles High School.

PRHS has served generations of students, but many of its buildings and systems are aging. At the same time, the way we prepare students for college and careers continues to evolve—particularly through Career Technical Education.

Creating strong CTE programs takes more than great teachers and coursework. Students also need classrooms, equipment and learning environments that reflect the industries they may enter after graduation.

In this new video, voices from across our school community share why facilities matter—and how the spaces we create today can expand opportunities for future generations of Bearcats.

Our promise is to create safe, supportive school environments where every student feels valued and empowered to discover their strengths, build resilience, and develop the knowledge, character and confidence to thrive in their future. The 2030 Vision Facilities Master Plan helps us think intentionally about the spaces and opportunities our students will need to make that promise a reality.

The PRJUSD Board of Trustees meets tonight, Tuesday, September 22, in the District Board Room at 800 Niblick Road. Closed session begins at 6:00 p.m., with open session expected to begin at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Tonight’s agenda includes the Facility Master Plan, an Aquatics Complex update, future Measure M project planning, a proposal for PRHS tennis courts and parking, and an update to the grades 9–12 science pathway.

Community members are always welcome to attend in person, or you can follow along from home by watching the meeting live online.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the District’s facility needs, priorities, planning process, and what the Facility Master Plan means for the future of our schools. Brad will be on hand to provide an in-depth look at the plan and answer questions.

Tomorrow’s the day! Join us Friday, September 18 at 1:30 p.m. as we celebrate the completion of the brand-new Bearcat Institute of Cosmetology at Paso Robles High School!

This beautiful new salon and training space gives PRHS students the opportunity to learn and practice professional cosmetology skills right on campus, completing the hands-on training they need as they work toward professional licensure and careers after high school.

The ribbon cutting is open to the public, and guests are invited to stay afterward for a tour of the new facility.

Hispanic Heritage Month is off to a tasty start at Glen Speck Elementary School! Yesterday, a team of Glen Speck yard duty and paraeducator staff prepared a homemade lunch for their colleagues, filling the staff lounge with colorful decorations, and piles of delicious taquitos, quesadillas, and all the fixings.

A huge thank-you to Community School Coordinator Irma Vega-Moreno, and to Karina Cabrera, Elizabeth Contreras, Fatima Perez, Adrianna Ramos, Sandra Verreras, Mayra Rangel, Ric (Jose) Rodriguez, Luis Murillo, Maria Contreras, Xiomara Borja, and Karla Ruiz for sharing their time, talents, and some truly wonderful food with the Glen Speck team.

And the celebration is just getting started: later in the month, Glen Speck students will take part in ballet folklórico performances as the school continues recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month.

Thank you to our Glen Speck staff for creating such a warm celebration of culture and community!

A little history came to life at Winifred Pifer Elementary today!

In honor of Constitution Day, Principal Holly Moore and Student Engagement Specialist Jen Moore dressed for the occasion and spent time reading with students, with a copy of the Constitution close at hand.

And if you know anything about the Ms. Moores, you know they always bring the energy! They have a knack for making special days like this fun, engaging, and memorable for our students. 🇺🇸

Traffic advisory: significant traffic delays are expected in Paso Robles this afternoon due to ongoing law enforcement activity and road closures in the Highway 101/Spring Street area.

The closures and resulting congestion may affect travel throughout town during school dismissal. Families should allow extra time when heading to pick up students today and plan for possible delays.

Schools will dismiss at their regular times. Please use caution, follow posted detours and law enforcement directions, and avoid the affected area when possible.
