Last night, our school board made the decision to name the junior high school to be, Lewis Flamson Junior High School. We are happy that both educators will continue to be recognized/honored and this will help create an environment on campus of unity. Tomorrow night our school board will be deciding on the new name for the junior high. The junior high feedback committee suggested "Paso Robles Junior High School" to bring unity and equity. The committee also suggested naming different buildings on Flamson's campus after Flamson & Lewis to continue to honor them.
However, the naming committee voted against this and proposed "George H. Flamson Junior High".
Please show your support tomorrow at the meeting in favor of the name being "Paso Robles Junior High School" to bring unity and inclusiveness for all.
