Talk about coming full circle. I've taught guitar for 18 years now. A little over 10 years ago Denis came in as a student (I think he started at 6 years old). Then later his sister Julie also took lessons.

Yesterday Denis (now 18!!) and I got to perform the song introducing Julie and her Husband after they got married.

What an honor to get to be part of their special day. Crazy to think that... that much time has already gone by!

This was one of those bittersweet moments.

This week was Finn’s last lesson before heading off to college.

I’m so excited for what’s ahead for him, but We’re definitely going to miss having him here at lesson each week.

Finn started with us three years ago as a total beginner—and now, he’s a full-blown shredder.

From simple chord songs to shredding Jason Becker!

Watching his transformation and getting to be part of his journey has been a real privilege.

Proud of you, Finn. Can’t wait to see what you do next. You’ve got the talent, the drive, and the heart. Keep going.

August 2025 Guitar Retreat is officially in the books!

What an incredible weekend—great music, tired fingers, and plenty of laughter.

The progress, friendships, and memories made remind me exactly why we do this. These retreats are hands-down my favorite part of being a guitar teacher, and I couldn’t be prouder of these students. Excited to see where their playing goes next!
