Hello, RUTH LIVINGSTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL families!

My name is Valerie Oakley and I am the Box Tops for Education Coordinator for our school. I hope your summer is going well!!!!

During the ups and downs of the past couple of school years, one thing is certain: teachers and students need more help than ever before. Box Tops is a fast and easy way for you to support RUTH LIVINGSTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

Our goal is to earn $500.00 through Box Tops this year. We have currently earned $0.50 and we need your help to hit our goal!

Here’s how you can help us reach our goal:
Buy Box Tops products, scan your receipt with the Box Tops app within 14 days of purchase and earn for RUTH LIVINGSTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL with every Box Tops product you buy.

Refer your friends, family, and other parents in the school to download the app. You’ll even get Bonus Box Tops for our school with each referral that successfully scans their first receipt.

Turn on notifications in your Box Tops app to get scan reminders and stay updated on special offers, new products, and opportunities to earn for our school. Go to your Communications Settings by tapping on the person icon in the upper-right corner of the app.

Let’s give our teachers the support they need and give more kids the opportunity to dream. Little by little, we can help make a big difference.

Lots of important information will be shared, including school boundary changes.

❄️ Spirit Sales will be this FRIDAY!! We’ve got so many fun items for sale and lots of new things. Since we’re not sure yet if the weather will cooperate, we may need to cancel. PLEASE CHECK DOJO that morning to confirm if Spirit Sales is a go.

🎉 Make sure to get SKATE NIGHT on your calendar for January 29th. We love having a party at the Rollarena just for our Leopards. Watch for more details to come.

📚And don’t forget to bring in those gently-used books you no longer need. We’re gearing up for our Trash to Treasure Book Fair the week of March 4th and we need your support.

☃️ Livingston’s Holiday Toy Shoppe is NEXT week! Here is everything you need to know!

❄️ The shoppe will be set up all week long. We will be open from 9-1 Monday -Thursday and 9-12 on Friday.

❄️There will be holiday and non-holiday themed gifts. Items range from $1.00 to $5.00, the majority of the items fall in the $2.50 to $3.50 range and are much larger than spirit sales items. There are items to purchase for men, women, kids … all the way to baby/toddler! Hoping students can find gifts for all the special people in their lives!!

❄️ Parents are welcome to come check out the shop too! Come with your child’s class or volunteer for a shift and come help our leopards shop. It’s such a fun event. Use the link below to sign up!

Livingston had such a wonderful Bingo Night a couple of weeks ago! We just wanted to thank everyone that came to the event and everyone that worked hard to make it happen! Thank you so much to Mr. Jisa and Mr. Hernandez for calling Bingo and to Miss Josi for collecting so many coats for Coats for Kids! Thank you to our amazing staff, teachers, parent helpers, and families who donated time as well as items to create our wonderful bingo baskets!! We also want to thank our community sponsors for their donations! We’re so grateful! 🤍

We’ve got so many fun things this week at Livingston! Here are all the details:

⭐️ There is a PTO MEETING on TONIGHT in the library at 6:30p. We’d love to have more parents join us! Free babysitting in the gym. If you’re unable to attend in person, here is the virtual meeting link: https://meet.google.com/qfs-tvfr-zyu

⭐️ Friday morning before school we’ll have SPIRIT SALES outside both playgrounds! We have lots of fun new items! Cash only.

⭐️ And finally, Friday evening is BINGO NIGHT! Doors open at 5:30p and games start at 6:00p. Entry fee is one peanut-free full size candy bar per person. Bring extra candy bars and coats for donation to Coats For Kids to receive extra raffle tickets. We have some AMAZING raffle baskets that our teachers, students, and parent helpers put together. Come join the fun!!
