What a special morning for our Little Lions!
A huge thank you to Benton County, WA Sheriff's Office for visiting us today. My favorite part was watching how gentle, calm, and kind the deputies were with our children. They made every child feel safe and special.
Each child got to sit in the front seat of the patrol vehicle, and when the deputies turned on the lights, their little faces lit up right along with them. I hope these deputies know just how cool they are in the eyes of our kids!
I also loved hearing the children share what they want to be when they grow up—police officers, race car drivers, and so much more.
I hope today sparked a little inspiration to dream big and shoot for the stars. They can be anything they want to be, and we’ll always be here believing in them.

A huge thank you to the Pasco Police for taking the time to visit Leah's Little Lions Preschool today! Our little learners had so much fun exploring the patrol car, asking thoughtful questions, and meeting the officers who help keep our community safe every day. Experiences like these help children build trust, curiosity, and confidence while learning about the important people who serve our community. Our little insect study today was a hit! 🪲
The children explored beetles up close, asked thoughtful questions, observed tiny details, and practiced being gentle and respectful with living creatures. Some kiddos were brave enough to hold them right away, while others preferred to watch from a safe distance and cheer their friends on — and both are equally valuable ways to learn.
Moments like these build curiosity, confidence, empathy, and a deeper connection to the natural world. I love watching their wonder grow through hands-on experiences.
Brave kids. Big learning. Tiny creatures.
