RCMHS celebrated our first Adoration of the school year and what a beautiful way it was to begin our day!

Father Frey spoke to our students about the importance of spending time in the presence of Jesus, slowing down, quieting our hearts and taking time to recharge our spiritual batteries. Mrs. Sisson and Mrs. Heise also invited our students to pray intercessory prayers for them, reminding us of the power of praying for one another.

Our choir, under the direction of RCS Music Teacher Mr. Ortmann, sang beautifully and helped usher in the Holy Spirit, creating a reverent and peaceful atmosphere.

Many students spent time in reconciliation. We appreciate our priests, Father Frey, Father David, and Father Dominic, for hearing confessions and guiding our students as they accept God’s grace.

What a wonderful reminder that when we begin our day with Jesus, everything else falls into place. Jesus, help us to slow down, listen, and remain in Your presence.

The RCES Chess Club kicked off the year with an intra-squad double elimination pawn race tournament. Wylie Jordan took 1st place going undefeated in the competition. McKinley Carpenter finished 2nd place, Paul Banks 3rd place and Anayra Patel 4th place.

The team also welcomed three new members: Luke Marks, McKinley Carpenter and Rosalie Hull. Have a great year Chess Club!
