Mrs. Green's year 1 ED PREP students toured PGSD's Central Office in August. Students were able to see the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to handle the inner workings of the school district. Thank you to these often unsung heroes of the education system. The students would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Coleman and to Dr. Bellipanni for their time and encouragement for our future. Also, the students were particularly appreciative of the snacks!

Mrs. Green's Ed Prep Year 2 students completed their mock interviews and follow ups on Monday, August 24th with diverse district personnel. This gives our students an opportunity to practice professional interviews. We are very proud of our future educators!

🎉 50 Years of Career & Technical Education in Pascagoula! 🎉

This week, we have had the incredible opportunity to celebrate 50 years of Career & Technical Education in Pascagoula, Mississippi! For five decades, our CTE center has been preparing students with the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need to build successful careers and contribute to our community and workforce.

We began the week by welcoming back many of the people who helped make that legacy possible at our Retiree Breakfast. It was especially meaningful to have two of our former CTE Directors join us, along with retired instructors and members of the CTE family. Hearing the stories, memories, and experiences from those who helped shape our programs was a powerful reminder that what we have today was built by generations of dedicated educators.

On Tuesday, we opened our doors to the community for our 50th Anniversary Open House, giving current students, families, alumni, business and industry partners, former employees, and community members an opportunity to see where our students are learning and preparing for the future.

Our students also played a direct role in making this celebration special! A big thank you to our Business, Marketing, & Finance students, Ella Rhea Eplin & Coz'Ryann Osgood, who designed the banner, invitation, and signs for the 50th anniversary events!

50 years represents more than a building or a program, it represents thousands of students, hundreds of educators, countless business and industry partners, and generations of people who believed in the power of preparing students for a career and a future.

As we celebrate our past, we are also incredibly excited about our future. The programs, technology, certifications, work-based learning opportunities, and partnerships we offer today continue to evolve with the needs of our students and our community.

To everyone who has been part of our CTE journey over the past 50 years...THANK YOU. Your impact can be seen in the careers, businesses, families, and communities our graduates have helped build.

Here's to 50 years of preparing students, building careers, strengthening our workforce, and connecting education to opportunity.

Mrs. Green's year 2 ED PREP Gautier students will be spending their second year at Martin Bluff where they will continue to explore the career of education while assisting the MBE staff two days a week. We are so proud of them for wanting to work with students.

Mrs. Green's PHS Ed Prep students are starting their field experience for year 2 at Eastlawn Elementary. These students will spend two days working with these students during their class period. We are so proud of them and know that they will make great educators.
