Join us this weekend, September 11–13, for the Sequoia Dark Sky Festival, featuring science talks, astrophotography, telescope viewing, and more amid the stunning landscapes of the Sierra Nevada!
Caltech scientists will give talks on asteroids, supernovae, cosmology, and the surprising contents of seemingly empty space, and we'll host an “Ask an Astrophysicist” Q&A panel. We'll also be at Saturday night's star party with telescopes, including a radio telescope we'll use to detect hydrogen gas in the plane of the Milky Way!
Come join us for a fun weekend of astronomy under the stars! The festival is free and open to the public; park entry is not included.
Do you like nature, dark skies, and astronomy? Join us in two weeks for the Sequoia Dark Sky Festival, September 11–13! We'll be joining the National Park Service and Sequoia Parks Conservancy for a weekend of stargazing, telescope viewing, science presentations, family activities, and more.
