Our RIE Foundations Course is coming this July, taught by the deeply thoughtful, honest, and gently provocative Ruth Anne Hammond, MA. Ruth Anne doesn’t offer quick answers or parenting “tips.” She invites reflection, slowing down, and a willingness to look closely at children, and at ourselves.

This hybrid Foundations experience includes:
🟡 In person: July 10–13, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM in Pasadena
🟡 Online: 3–4 Wednesday evenings through August 5

This course is for parents, caregivers, and professionals who want to build a respectful relationship with babies and young children and who are open to being changed by the process.

Our RIE Foundations Course begins this July, led by the thoughtful, honest, and gently challenging Ruth Anne Hammond, MA. Rather than offering quick fixes or easy answers, Ruth Anne creates space for reflection, for slowing down, and for truly observing children and ourselves with greater care.

Yesterday was International Day of Play, and we could not think of a better way to mark it than to open our doors.

So many of you have told us you wished you could hear the workshops from our conferences. So for five days only, we are sharing one of the most moving we have ever hosted: Dr. Peter Gray's keynote from RIE's 36th Annual Infant-Toddler Conference, "Mother Nature's Pedagogy," introduced by our own Liz Memel.

Gray, an evolutionary psychologist and the author of Free to Learn, makes a case Magda Ge**er would have recognized instantly: children come into the world biologically designed to educate themselves, and our role is to provide the conditions that design needs... beginning with the newborn.
