Our next exhibition, 'all the ways to hold this tender land,' opens Friday, July 10. 🌿

Bringing together the work of Anais Franco, Francesca Lalanne, Maddy Inez, and Brie Ruais, this exhibition explores nature, ancestral histories, memory, and healing. Through ceramics, steel, wood, film, and more-than-human life, the artists consider reciprocal relationships with the environment and the ways connection to land, community, and self can become a pathway toward cultural and ecological preservation.
In the wake of climate catastrophes such as the Eaton Fire, all the ways to hold this tender land reflects on how collective listening, care, and connection to the earth can foster restoration, reflection, and return.

Spend some time with 'Material Prophecies: Craft as Divination' this weekend. ✨

Through textiles, ceramics, sculpture, and installation, the artists in Material Prophecies explore craft as a tool for reflection, transformation, and imagining new futures. Rooted in personal histories, ancestral knowledge, and material experimentation, the exhibition invites visitors to consider what objects can reveal, remember, and foretell.

Visit us Thursdays through Saturdays, 1–5 PM, and experience the exhibition before it closes in August.

The Armory is proud to support Dena Juneteenth: Liberation, Light, & Legacy — a day of art, music, performances, food, community, and celebration honoring Black freedom, resilience, and joy. Stop by and create with us during a hands-on clay workshop led by Armory Teaching Artist Heather Hilliard Bonds (), and explore the many ways creativity can bring people together.

Summer Studio classes for kids kick off July 6 🌞🌊😎
Young artists will spend the week drawing, painting, creating, and discovering new ways to express themselves through hands-on artmaking.

What does democracy look like to you? 🧵✨

Join us this Saturday for Quilt for Democracy, a community quilting bee led by Armory board member Susan Hall-Hardwick. Together, we'll create a collaborative quilt that reflects the many perspectives, experiences, and values that shape our communities.
Whether you stitch, paint, embroider, appliqué, or use another creative approach, we invite you to design a square that shares your vision of democracy.

Join us for Human Shield on June 13 from 9 AM – 12 PM! 🤝🛡️⛓️ A community-led event organized by Pasadena Community Job Center and our friends at National Day Laborer Organizing Network, standing in solidarity with immigrant workers and families in Altadena and Pasadena.
On the one-year anniversary of the immigration raids, people will gather to honor loved ones, reflect on the harm caused by family separations and detention, and demonstrate the strength of a community united against fear and division.

The Armory will be on-site with a community art activity as participants form a one-mile human chain stretching from Lincoln Avenue to Lake Avenue. Through art, conversation, and collective action, we'll join our neighbors in affirming the values of connection, care, and belonging.
