Meet Naomi Vogtman, a TCC student with a heart for serving others and a passion for making a difference through chiropractic care.

Inspired by witnessing the life-changing impact of chiropractic while working in a practice, Naomi made it her goal to open a family-centered clinic in the Houston area, with a focus on caring for children and serving underserved communities.

On campus, she leads by example as President of the Perinatal & Pediatric Club, a Class Ethics Officer, Campus Ambassador, and member of the Christian Chiropractic Club. Outside the classroom, she's a half-marathon runner, high school girls' lacrosse coach, and enjoys everything from pickleball to fishing.

Naomi says one of her favorite parts of TCC is the supportive community created by small class sizes and professors who genuinely invest in their students' success.

We're proud to celebrate students like Naomi who are combining leadership, compassion, and purpose as they prepare to shape the future of chiropractic.

At this year's President’s Gala at Chiro Texpo, the Texas Chiropractic Association presented awards to honor those who played vital roles in advancing TCA and chiropractic in Texas, many of whom are students, alumni, and other supporters of TCC.

Inspired by her own transformative experience with chiropractic care, TCC student Tristen Shaw, chose to pursue a Doctor of Chiropractic degree after experiencing firsthand the impact the profession can have on a person's quality of life. Her chiropractor, Dr. James Skrenkowich, took the time to explain the philosophy behind chiropractic care and helped spark her passion for the field.

In addition to her studies, Tristen is making her mark at TCC through leadership and service. She serves as TCC Ambassadors' Secretary, Historian of her trimester class, and Treasurer of the Pediatrics Club, demonstrating her dedication to supporting her classmates and strengthening the TCC community.

After graduating, Tristen plans to work alongside an experienced chiropractor to further develop her clinical skills before eventually opening her own practice, where she hopes to help patients improve their overall health and well-being.
