Pasadena Community Job Center

We are deeply troubled by reports that Pasadena police detained Jose Madera, a respected community leader who has long worked to protect immigrant workers through the Pasadena Community Job Center, which CCF proudly supports. Just last week, Jose walked with CCF in support of our Rose Parade float honoring wildfire victims, which was a reflection of his longstanding support of his community.

Today's incident has raised understandable concern, particularly within immigrant communities already living in fear after multiple recent violent uses of force by immigration agents, including a fatal shooting today in Minneapolis. We stand in solidarity with those seeking reassurance and clarity, and we remain committed to supporting efforts that ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
