With guidance from Librarian MaryBeth Nicol, students at Thompson Intermediate explored history in a whole new way through the America 250 project! The Thompson library hosted the traveling exhibit and an interactive escape room where students worked together to solve challenges, think critically, and deepen their understanding of our nation's history. Experiences like these demonstrate how school libraries and librarians support classroom instruction while creating memorable learning opportunities for students! Great job, Marybeth Nicol!

Her Brain Break Area gives students opportunities to step away, engage in fun activities, get creative, and return to learning refreshed and ready to go. From origami and crafts to puzzles and other hands-on activities, this space is making a BIG impact! 🧩🎨📖

Librarians had an incredible day of learning, collaboration, and inspiration at our Districtwide Librarian Staff Development Day! 📚✨

Together, our librarians from across the district came together to share ideas, strengthen our practice, celebrate successes, and focus on what matters most, our students. In June, we learn, grow, and get inspired! Librarian and teacher training is underway in the L&IM Department. PISD librarians and L & IM staff are hitting the mark 🎯by sharing their expertise, resources, lessons, activities, and technology skills. Participants have been many and they are leaving with practical ideas ready to implement for the new school year.
