Something has started circulating within the U.S. immigration space regarding potential new travel restrictions that could impact travelers from up to 43 countries. However, please note that this is still in the early stages, and the proposal is under review, so nothing is concrete yet.
The Trump administration is considering new travel restrictions, with a draft list categorizing countries into three levels:
Red - All Travel Banned:
Citizens from Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen could face an outright travel ban to the U.S.
Dark gray - Visas Sharply Restricted:
Citizens from Belarus, Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Turkmenistan would experience restricted visa access, with interviews required for visa applicants. Some business travelers may still be allowed entry.
Blue - 60 Days to Address Concerns:
A total of 22 countries, including Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Cambodia, Cameroon, and others, have 60 days to resolve security or visa cooperation issues. If unresolved, they could face further restrictions.
It’s important to highlight that these potential restrictions may primarily impact immigrant visas and tourist visas, rather than non-immigrant visa categories like the E-2 investor visas or O-1 visas for individuals with extraordinary ability.
During the last Trump administration's ban, they did not target the E-2 or O-1 visas, and there's a strong possibility they won’t do so this time either—though, of course, no one can say for sure.

گہرے سرمئی (Dark Gray) - ویزا سختی سے محدود:
بیلاروس، اریٹیریا، ہیٹی، لاؤس، میانمار، پاکستان، روس، سیرا لیون، جنوبی سوڈان، اور ترکمانستان کے شہریوں کے ویزا تک رسائی محدود کر دی جائے گی۔ ویزا حاصل کرنے کے لیے انٹرویو لازمی ہوگا، البتہ کچھ کاروباری مسافروں کو استثنیٰ مل سکتا ہے۔
نیلا (Blue) - 60 دن کی مہلت:
کل 22 ممالک، جن میں انگولا، اینٹیگوا اور باربوڈا، بینن، کمبوڈیا، کیمرون، اور دیگر شامل ہیں، کو 60 دن دیے جائیں گے تاکہ وہ سیکیورٹی یا ویزا تعاون کے مسائل حل کریں۔ اگر وہ ایسا کرنے میں ناکام رہتے ہیں، تو ان پر مزید سفری پابندیاں لگ سکتی ہیں۔
