Thank you to all the families specially, the students but also the teachers in the community who showed up we were able to save all the schools, including Blair. For now.
They’re going to go back to the drawing board and reject the non-transparent and very flawed process that happened. Now they will involve the community in the future and they have to win back our trust as they mentioned many times last night.
The meeting went past midnight, but this was a huge victory. I’ll post some videos and pictures also in another post, but here’s the article summarizing everything.

Thank you to all of you who came out! They voted not to close any schools. But the Board could still ignore them so we'll see you at the board meeting 5/28!

We just had the biggest rally yet to save our schools. People were very angry after reading that article showing all the corruption in collusion and violations of the Brown act.
And the total disrespect from the text and email messages that were revealed in that freedom of information act requests.
First, we protest in in front of PUSD and then many of us went inside to protest right outside the door. We couldn’t get in. It was too crowded.

Update: they voted not to close any schools, but the PUSD Board can do whatever they want and for board members seem determined to close Marshall and Blair.
There’s a meeting tonight, Thursday 7 PM. The only time you can speak is during public comment, and it has to be about pending litigation, which will likely be filed against the board for their shenanigans which are likely to be illegal.
