Thank you for your wonderful donations of gently used . We were able to about half of all donations. Special thanks to our for managing our retail boutique. The kids were great at managing their retail stations and even writing up receipts. They worked on their communication skills and problem solving skills by ensuring the bootique was well stocked, organized and all transactions had receipts. Special thanks to parent Hilary and parent Jonathan for drop offs and pick ups of supplies.

Reminder to bring your costumes by Thursday! We are organizing for the costume swap!

So much! Lion dancers from UCLA perform at 11.

Fun games and activities for kids and adults, from crafts to co****le to facepainting to making miniscapes!

Delicious food and drinks, including homemade Frito pie and baked goods.

Presentations by our students and parents on composting, the regular kind and the worm kind!

Finally, at 2PM, our beloved alums Frances and Ray will perform with their band, Liteheart!

Friends Western School still has a few spots in our warm and developmentally attuned Kindergarten class. In the Hummingbirds class children’s passionate interests, emotional intelligence, and drive to learn are all fostered to build a strong love of learning. We have been ahead of the curve on literacy for a while now, teaching the nuts and bolts of written language explicitly while also getting kids into reading and writing for authentic purposes right away.
