During our annual 6th Grade Inquiry Fair, the Class of 2026 Whale Sharks shared projects driven by their own questions, passions, and curiosity. Thoughtfully designed for audiences of all ages, the presentations reflected deep research, expert interviews, and engagement with current topics.
From the class pet rats demonstrating the neuroscience of learning through a maze challenge, to interactive experiments exploring how movement boosts mood, to students sitting on the floor with younger peers to read, share, and connect, the fair was a meaningful celebration of wonder, creativity, connection, and the power of pursuing knowledge and sharing it with others. 💚

Our 3rd graders recently returned from the first of Walden’s outdoor education program trips: a camping adventure in Joshua Tree National Park that truly rocked! ⛺️🧗🏽♀️✨
As a cornerstone of Walden’s program, these overnight adventures give students the chance to step into leadership, take thoughtful risks, strengthen bonds with classmates, and deepen their connection to the natural world.
On this first overnight trip, students are accompanied by a parent or caregiver, their teachers, and outdoor education experts from , who guide them through the experience. During their time in the desert, students explored the unique ecosystem, climbed boulders, and stargazed beneath expansive night skies, discovering along the way just how much they are capable of. 💚

The North Yard came alive with picnic blankets and the voices of our community during this year’s FEAST (Families Eating and Storytelling Together). Hosted by the Walden Equity Committee, the evening unfolded through stories shared by students and adults, each one offering a window into lived experiences, unique perspectives, and the moments that shape who we are.
FEAST beautifully reflects the spirit of our Walden Story Song: “Everybody has a story, everybody has a tale; if we put our stories together, then we can never fail.”
A heartfelt thank you to our storytellers and to Mr. Joe and everyone who helped create such a warm and memorable evening of listening, reflection, and connection. ✨💚

A fantastic night of music and movement took center stage at the Manoukian Performance Arts Center for the 2026 Spring Sing, “Musicals in Motion!” 🎶🎸🎹
All Walden classes from Pre-K through 6th grades brought songs from beloved musicals to life. In true Walden fashion, each student took part in this cherished annual show, playing an instrument, singing, dancing, or even taking to the aerials! At the heart of our mission is the belief that every child should have the chance to explore and engage all parts of themselves. The Spring Sing is a joyful tradition that gives students the opportunity to step into the role of a performing artist and express themselves in new and creative ways.
Bravo to our incredible students, who gave it their all on stage! Special thanks to Alejandro and Trevor for their creativity and dedication in shaping such beautiful performances in collaboration with our students. We are also deeply grateful to our faculty and staff for their work and support in making the evening such a success. 💚 And finally, thank you to our wonderful families for your enthusiastic participation as audience members and for helping our students truly shine!✨✨
