PUSD Science Fest 2026 wouldn’t exist without the people who believed in it first.
Today, hundreds of Pasadena students, families, and community members will walk through the doors of John Muir High School and experienced something genuinely remarkable, a living laboratory built right here in our own neighborhood, powered by world-class science and a community that refuses to stop investing in its young people.
That doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because of people and organizations who put their name, their resources, and their heart behind a vision. So today, we want to take a moment to say thank you and mean it.

TO EVERY VOLUNTEER, EVERY PTA, AND EVERY PERSON WHO SHOWED UP
This event is the sum of countless hours that no one sees, the planning meetings, the setup at sunrise, the families who drove across town, the teachers who spread the word, and the students who showed up curious and left inspired.
To every volunteer who gave their Saturday: thank you. You are the reason this works.
To every PTA across Pasadena, Altadena, and Sierra Madre, all 21 of you, thank you. What you do every single day in your schools, your communities, and for your families is extraordinary. TODAY is the day, Pasadena! PUSD Science Fest 2026 is here and it’s completely free and open to everyone. Over 50 vendors, Interactive Science, Talks, Food, Fun, and Reptiles
This afternoon, John Muir High School Early College Magnet becomes something extraordinary: a living laboratory where world-class institutions stand side by side with our students, our families, and our neighbors. Carnegie Observatories. Caltech. JPL. And so many more — all here, all day, all for our community.
PUSD Science Fest exists to do something powerful: to show our young people that science isn’t just something that happens in textbooks. It happens here. In Pasadena. In our schools. In our neighborhoods. And it’s being done by people who look like them, think like them, and grew up in communities like ours.
This is an extravaganza of Science, Technology, Engineering, Robotics, Medicine, Health, and the Environment — designed to inspire the next generation of scientists, innovators, and problem-solvers. Whether your student is in TK or 12th grade, there is something at this event that will spark something in them.
