We're looking forward to our October 15th LCAP PAC Meeting, where we will be hosting a study session on Literacy!

For those playing along at home, here is a link to the a K-8 ELA curriculum audit PUSD commissioned a couple years ago. We hope to follow up on some of the recommendations from this report in addition to learning more about how PUSD is working to improve our literacy strategy overall.

The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is a three-year plan that describes the goals, actions, services and expenditures to support positive student outcomes.

The PUSD LCAP Parent Advisory Committee (LCAP PAC) provides input from parent and caregiver groups as the plan is refined each year. Attached to this post is the PAC calendar this year and the topics we will study this year in service of that input.

Our meetings are open to the public and are in the PUSD Ed Center in Room 229. Agendas and other information are at pusd.us/lcap.

Parent advocates and leaders, please consider joining the LCAP Parent Advisory Committee next year. You'll learn so much about how our PUSD budget works and how the LCAP (Local Control and Accountability Plan) provides an actionable funding roadmap to best support all children, especially those that deserve the most support.

Time commitment is minimal. Each year, we have 5 meetings with occasional study and subcommittees in between.

PUSD education advocates, please attend PUSD's LCAP Town Hall 2024 on Wednesday May 22 at Franklin Elementary School, starting at 6pm.

This is the community's opportunity to give feedback to the first draft of the proposed 2024-2025 PUSD Local Control and Accountability Plan, as presented at last night's Special Meeting of the Board of Education and based on initial consultations with educational partner groups. The feedback from this meeting will be gathered by the Board of Education as they work to finalize the LCAP in June.
