1️⃣ Log In Early: Make sure you can access the UoPeople Online Campus (Moodle) on Thursday morning to open your active courses.
2️⃣ Read the Syllabus First: Head straight to the "General Information and Forum" section of your course homepage. Download and thoroughly review the syllabus before starting any weekly tasks!
3️⃣ Build Your Schedule: Remember, UoPeople runs on a strict weekly cycle with no extensions for late submissions. Map out your study blocks early this weekend!

🎓 **Can a UoPeople BCS Graduate Pursue a Master's Degree in Bangladesh?**

This is a question many Bangladeshi UoPeople students and prospective students are asking, so we wanted to share some information based on currently published requirements.

The short answer is: **There may be pathways to pursue a Master's degree in Bangladesh after completing a UoPeople BCS, including at private universities. However, acceptance is not automatic and must be confirmed by the individual university.**

🇺🇸 **About the UoPeople BCS**

University of the People is currently institutionally accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is a 120-credit bachelor's degree program.

🇧🇩 **What about Bangladesh?**

Because UoPeople is a foreign university, a Bangladeshi university may require evaluation/equivalence of the foreign degree.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has a formal process for foreign-degree equivalence. The process involves academic documents such as certificates, transcripts, credit-hour information and detailed course contents, among other requirements.

Some Bangladeshi universities also explicitly have procedures for applicants holding foreign degrees.

For example, BRAC University states that postgraduate applicants with foreign degrees must submit their academic documents and obtain the required equivalence documentation. Its MSc/MEngg programs in CSE also have specific academic eligibility requirements.

Therefore, it would be incorrect to say:

❌ "UoPeople BCS cannot be used for Master's in Bangladesh."

But it would also be incorrect to say:

❌ "Every Bangladeshi university will automatically accept UoPeople BCS."

The accurate position is:

✅ **A UoPeople BCS graduate may have opportunities to apply for Master's programs in Bangladesh, but eligibility and equivalence must be determined by the specific university and, where required, the relevant authority.**

# # # What should a UoPeople student do?

If your long-term plan is to pursue a Master's in Bangladesh, don't wait until graduation to investigate.

Before choosing a university, contact its postgraduate admission office and ask specifically:

> **"Will you accept a 4-year Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from University of the People (UoPeople), USA, for admission to your Master's program? If yes, is UGC foreign-degree equivalence required?"**

Ideally, obtain the answer **in writing**.

Also keep your academic documents carefully—transcripts, course descriptions/syllabi, credit information and other university records may become important during an equivalence or admission process.
