Emily Elizondo of Rick Schneider Middle School was named the 2025–2026 Paraprofessional of the Year by the Health Services Department.
"Emily consistently goes above and beyond to keep the clinic running smoothly, no matter how busy or unpredictable the day becomes. She is the person you can rely on to catch anything that might slip through the cracks, and she does it with calm, confidence, and genuine care for all the students. Emily is always eager to learn new nursing procedures so she can step in seamlessly whenever needed, and her motivation comes from a true desire to better support students and understand their medical needs. She is a remarkably quick learner, a steady presence, and an essential part of keeping our clinic afloat. Emily embodies what it means to be an outstanding support professional, and our campus is stronger because of her dedication."

We can’t close the day out without sharing our appreciation for our nurse Ms. Jaime on Nurse Appreciation Day! Ms. Jaime goes above and beyond the call of a school nurse. She is in the halls every passing period, she knows our kids beyond just their clinic visits and is tentative to their needs, and she is lightning fast in the event of an emergency! We are grateful for her every day, but especially today!
