Marshall's drama department already has received a reputation for excellence and new theatre director Caroline Sandrew looks forward to continuing its growth and success! Sandrew has spent 8 years running rigorous and award-winning drama programs in Las Vegas and is thrilled to teach in Pasadena, a city known for exceptional theatre. She recieved her degree in theatre education from The University of Nevada, Las Vegas while she worked as a professional actress and singer, most notably playing the lead and supporting roles in "Tony 'n Tina's Wedding" on the Las Vegas Strip for nearly 10 years. However, her greatest passion is for teaching and directing, and her energy has always been focused on developing the skills of young actors and actresses and providing them with many diverse opportunities to perform! Marshall students should look forward to a straight play in the fall, the musical in the spring, and additional chances to showcase their talents and challenge themselves throughout the year! She also encourages them to consider running for the drama club council: students who will assist in decision making, running events, and making our drama club as amazing as it can be! To add to the professionalism of the drama club, Ms. Sandrew is introducing the opportunity to join the International Thespian Society! All this and more will be discussed in more detail as the school year begins. She cannot wait to meet you all and start what will be an amazing year of THEATRE!
