We are thrilled to announce that our first-ever Parent Education Night was a huge success, thanks to the wonderful and talented therapist, Megan Pitsios, LCSW! Her knowledge and insights made the evening truly impactful for all who attended. We’re even more excited to hear that many families are interested in future education nights, and we look forward to continuing to offer these innovative experiences to foster community building and support. Integrating nature and outdoor experiences with indoor classroom curriculum helps young children develop a deeper connection to their environment, encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity. Outdoor learning promotes physical activity and sensory exploration, which are essential for cognitive and emotional development, while also fostering a sense of wonder and respect for the natural world. The pumpkins used in our lessons are straight from our garden, grown with much TLC, offering children a hands-on opportunity to explore nature’s cycles and the fruits of their care. 🎃 🍂

When young children play with a globe, they engage in a hands-on exploration of the world, sparking curiosity about geography, cultures, and the diversity of the planet. This activity helps develop spatial awareness, introduces them to basic concepts of continents and oceans, and encourages an early interest in global learning. 🌎

In our infant classrooms, we place items at eye level as we recognize it helps stimulate curiosity and encourages engagement with their surroundings, supporting cognitive and sensory development. It also promotes safe, independent exploration.

Join us for a special Parent Education Night on October 8th from 6:00-7:00pm at Evergreen Montessori Academy. This session will focus on the important topic of self-compassion for parents—a chance to reflect, recharge, and grow together as a community.

Back-to-School Night is an exciting opportunity for parents to connect with teachers, explore the classroom environment, and learn about the upcoming academic year.
