Congrats to 2024 Hallsville graduate Austin Prazak for securing an Process Operator internship at Eastman Chemical, and thanks to Eastman and HISD for the supporting our students.

2024 graduating senior, Austin Prazak, was recognized at the board meeting for securing an internship. Austin has demonstrated exceptional initiative and dedication by securing an internship with Eastman Chemical Company as a Process Operator. An internship that we have no hesitation predicting will evolve into a permanent position, where he brings value to our local industry partner and he can continue to exercise hard work and a commitment to excellence.

Throughout his time at Hallsville High School, Austin has excelled in both academic and CTE coursework. He has completed all Process Technology dual credit courses available at Hallsville High, showcasing his proficiency and passion for this field. In addition to his CTE work, Austin has also successfully completed enough academic dual credit coursework to require only two more semesters at Kilgore College to earn his associate's degree. These accolades highlight his readiness and preparation for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Austin's internship with Eastman Chemical Company is not only a significant milestone for himself. His drive, capability, and determination make him an outstanding representative of Hallsville High School as he blazes a path for future Hallsville graduates to follow.

We commend Austin for his remarkable achievements and look forward to his continued success as he steps well prepared into this exciting new chapter of his life. Austin's story is an inspiration, and we are confident that he will continue to excel and make Hallsville proud.

Hallsville High School Process Tech students had the opportunity to work and learn in an immersive hands-on tour at The Center for Petrochemical, Energy, and Technology at San Jacinto College. Everything we experienced there, the college-students, staff, and facilities, were incredibly impressive. This was definitely an impactful event that our students will carry with them as they progress into their college and career paths.
