PUSD Board members think they are above the people.

Maro Yacoubian exposes the dirty racism by the PUSD. The sabotage and anti-armenian rhetoric from within the district is sickening and outrageous. Certainly, if this discrimination was happening to other "chosen and beloved DEI ethnicities" the entire District would be on their knees apologizing. But.... it's just the armenian community.... a community worth expending to them.

Celebrating Soorp Sarkis Day with Armenian Academy teacher Madlen Manoukian. Our Armenian Academy students celebrated St. Sarkis with the traditional cookie. Traditional has it that before they go to bed they eat a special salty biscuit with no other food or drink so that in their dreams they will see their destined future spouse giving them water. The Armenian Academy 8th-12th graders attended a compelling play last week. "12 Angry Men” is a courtroom drama. It's based on the passages of the Constitution that promise defendants a fair trial and the presumption of innocence. Presented by Hamazkayin Theatre Company, the performance was well received by the audience.l!

We are proud of our Armenian Academy Students who were selected to compete in the Armenian Educational Foundation's Oratorical Competition finals this past weekend. This highly competitive event was held at The Fowler Museum at UCLA. Eight schools were represented. Our students have been preparing for this opportunity since before the Winter Break. Megheti Baghdassarian (11th) High School English Division, Arman Harutyunian (10th) High School Armenian Division, and Elizabeth Yacoubian (7th) Middle School English Division were outstanding in their presentations. We are very proud of our great representation at this event. Thank you to Ms. Madlen Manoukian and Mr. Norayr Daduryan for their support.

We express our deepest sorrow for the victims of these horrific fires. To Sahag Mesrob Armenian Christian School, we know you will arise like a phoenix from the ashes to create a school that will be better than before. We stand with you. 🙏🏼

The Armenian Academy at Blair performed beautifully at the 1sr Annual Armenian Festival in Pasadena which drew in thousands of visitors last month. Our Academy dance group was led by dance teachers Patille and Cynthia Albarian
